 My Experience:

My tutoring experience started when I was in sixth form, supporting Year 10 and 11 students with sciences, using whiteboard diagrams and exercises to create new and engaging visuals for challenging concepts. During my first year of university I started online tutoring with MyTutor, joining the National Tutoring Programme which provided essential tutoring to GCSE students in underfunded schools during the COVID19 lockdowns. Teaching individual and group lessons via an online platform allowed me to develop my lesson planning, incorporating well paced and thought provoking exercises to increase enthusiasm during a particularly hard time in our educations. I adapted to the obstacles brought on by the lockdowns and as a result am a resilient and optimistic person. Gaining knowledge and experience in this field, I created my own independent private tutoring business, working with students from my home town. I continued to write detailed lesson reports, allowing students, their parents and teachers to follow the progression of content we covered as well as their improvements in scientific understanding, exam technique and overall confidence. I tailor my lessons to suit the individual needs of the student, whether that be learning style, preferred revision methods or any concentration and learning difficulties.
