I recently graduated from The University of Cambridge, having achieved a 2:1 in my music degree. I am looking to help students to feel confident academically, focussing on the right technique that will transform their exam answers. I am also on a mission to make the universities of Cambridge and Oxford more accessible institutions for people of all educational backgrounds. I graduated with a 2:1 from Cambridge and have multiple years of experience in tutoring, having worked for several tutoring agencies as well as providing private tuition.

Maths, English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Music, French, Religious Studies, Sociology, and Further Maths (A)
I have a Grade 8 qualification in Music Theory (ABRSM) as well as numerous practical grades in singing, piano, violin and guitar.

I am writing in support of Rachel Hill, whom I have known since October 2017, when she started as an undergraduate Music student at Girton College, Cambridge. Since then I have served as her Director of Studies and principal supervisor. I consequently feel well placed to comment on her many qualities.
Rachel possesses all the qualities that typically mark out successful graduate students. These include a very strong work ethic, the ability to reflect on suggestions made in supervisions and to use them constructively, and a passion for her subject and for academia more generally.
Rachel’s decision to devote herself to becoming a private tutor, I believe, is a carefully considered one. She has proven herself to be a conscientious student with a firm handle on exam technique and essay writing, resulting in her well-earned academic success. The progress that Rachel has made academically during her time at Cambridge, and the keen self-awareness she has exhibited towards her own studying methods, suggests that she will be a fine tutor and an encouraging mentor to younger students.
