I studied Geography at IGCSE and IB HL levels, achieving an A* and 6 respectively. I currently apply my knowledge of Physical Geography to my degree at the University of Manchester, where I study Earth and Planetary Science.
In 6th form, I ran a weekly ‘Geobee’ club for KS3 students. This involved teaching students Geography and testing their knowledge by holding spelling bee-style competitions. I am particularly proud that one of my students took part in the National Geographic Bee in Washington D.C in 2019 and finished 2nd in the state finals.
I enjoy learning about the world, and enjoy teaching others just as much. I believe that people learning about Geography is important, so that they can better understand how the world around them operates and therefore be better prepared for the future. It’s always good to at least know where you are and what’s around you!
I am a 3rd year MEarthSci Earth and Planetary Science at the University of Manchester. My degree encompasses Physical Geography, Chemistry, and Physics, so I have extensive knowledge in these topics.
