Maths, Physics and Further Maths – Key Stage 3-5
All subjects – Key Stage 1 and 2
Hi, my name is Chloe and I am a Maths student at the University of Warwick. I love what I study and hope I can share both my knowledge and passion for the subject with the students I tutor. I am to create lessons that are tailored to each student’s learning style and personal needs. It is important that students understand each stage of reaching a solution instead of simply being told the answer, and I always make this a priority in my lessons by breaking down complex concepts into simpler ideas that are easier to understand and build on.
For GCSE and A-level students, I always make sure to include exam technique and questions to ensure that students not only understand all of the content they have covered, but also learn how to apply it to perform well in exams. I have completed work experience in a local primary school and learned a lot about working with younger children, experience which has proven particularly helpful for Key Stage 1 and 2 tutoring. I have found tutoring to be a rewarding experience at all levels, as it can help students in so many ways, as it can often increase their confidence as well as their understanding of the subject.
Outside of my studies, I enjoy ice skating and taking part in university societies. I am currently the Vice President of the Maths Society at my university, a leadership role which involves managing the exec, sending out informative weekly emails for our members and also organising the mentorship scheme, which I have taken part in as a mentor myself.

Chloe and I worked together over a week to help students move into Warwick University in October 2020. I have had a very positive experience working with Chloe and would highly recommend her as a tutor. Some of the positive traits that I found out about Chloe over the week would translate easily into her tutoring job.
First of all, there is no doubting Chloe’s enthusiasm and knowledge in mathematics. Having had a lengthy chat with her about her experiences at Warwick and the modules she is currently studying, I could clearly see her passion for the subject. Secondly, we started work every day at 7:30am, and Chloe was always on time and never complained. Work was often quiet, but still Chloe would show positive energy when someone would arrive. Her commitment to making the operation run smoothly was commendable, and I feel this would translate well into tutoring. For instance, I believe Chloe would always be willing to go the extra mile to make sure that her tutees perform well.
The above are just a few of the many positive traits which I know Chloe would bring to the team. For this reason, I would recommend her as a tutor at Cambridge Online Tutors.
