 My Bio

Hi, I’m Joe. I am a third year Biochemistry student at Lancaster University. I love my course and I have had a great enthusiasm for learning and discovering more about our world since as long as I can remember.

For my GCSEs I achieved A*s in Chemistry, Physics, Computer Science and Mathematics and an A in Biology, History and both English Language and English Literature. I studied Biology, Chemistry and Maths A levels inwhich I achieved three As. I am currently studying for a Bachelors degree and I am ontrack for a First.

I have always marveled at how intricate and complicated the world around us is. As a child I loved investigating and testing out mini theories and hypotheses. This passion has stayed with me throughout my years and now I especially enjoy learning and discovering about all kinds of science, especially about the molecular world!

My enthusiasm for teaching began through helping my younger siblings with their homework and teaching them throughout lockdown.

In my free time I enjoy reading and playing sports especially boxing, running and football!

I highly recommend Joseph as a tutor as he is an easy person to talk to and his lessons are extremely detailed /tailored to fill in the gaps in my knowledge of this subject. His power points break down difficult topics into easy to understand information ( always making sure that step of the topic is understood before moving on.) I never feel worried to ask him questions as he always tries to answer them for me.
I now feel confident in class with this subject as I have caught up massively with missing topics therefore I am positive that I will achieve the grades I need in this subject.

Joseph was a student at Alder Grange School from September 2011 until July 2018. In Year 11 he was appointed to the role of Senior prefect, and throughout school played an active role in all areas of school life.

Joseph was an exceptional student throughout school. He is organised, conscientious, and intelligent as well as being able to articulate his thoughts and share ideas with other pupils.

He demonstrates attention to detail in his studies and was rewarded with top grades at GCSE and A Level . His grades are a reflection of both his natural talent and hard work.

He is one of the most impressive students we have ever had, he showed empathy for younger pupils and was an excellent role model. His exam results at both GCSE and A Level were outstanding but Joseph is remarkable humble about his achievements.

I recommend him without reservation for the role, and feel certain he will make an outstanding tutor. Should you need any further information or details, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

    Yours faithfully,
