Hi, I’m Frank!
I studied Psychological and Behavioural Sciences at Cambridge (2016-2020). I studied Geography (A), Biology (A), and Psychology (A*) at A-Level and GCSE (A*A*A*).
I teach KS3-5 Psychology, and KS3&4 Biology and Geography.
The year before I started university I tutored students studying psychology with OCR and Edexcel, at both GCSE and A-Level stages. It was lovely to see how these sessions supported the school work my students were doing, and during term time and indeed exam periods, there were marked and visible improvements in their attainment. I enjoyed this work thoroughly and have continued to tutor and teach throughout my university career, assisting students in the years below me.
I have experience with 1:1 tutoring as well as teaching in a classroom setting. I was asked to teach classes to struggling students at my secondary school and sixth form as part of an afterschool study programme. I enjoy putting together lesson plans that engage students in discussion with me and each other. I strive to provide challenges for my students in each session to ensure that students are pushed to use all of their cognitive tools to answer questions and contribute to discussions. I am a firm believer that asking students to teach one another in group work and through answering their peers’ questions. If I believe that there is an opportunity to learn from one another instead of me in a helpful and constructive way, I will often take this route in my lessons.
Above all else, though, I like to design my lessons with input from students. I want to ensure that students are learning in the best way they can, which is more often than not when they are enjoying the content they’re learning. As such, I like to check in regularly with students on what they’re struggling with in their studies and if they have a preferred style of teaching and indeed learning to ensure that they can remain engaged for the entire session and retain what they have learnt.
Please get in touch if you’d like to work together!
My Qualifications include:
Psychological and Behavioural Sciences at Cambridge (2016-2020). Geography (A), Biology (A), and Psychology (A*) at A-Level and GCSE (A*A*A*).

I have known Frank Levermore for a few years now. He was the Vice President of Homerton Union of Students alongside me as President and he has also become a great friend of mine.
Frank is extremely patient when it comes to helping others. I have seen him demonstrate this when he has helped peers in his cohort and those in the years below with their academic work and any problems that they may have encountered with set work. Frank always goes out of his way to make sure that he can provide helpful resources for his peers and works with them to come up with viable solutions to their academic problems. Alongside this, Frank communicates his feedback in such a way that students come out with the confidence to succeed with their endeavors.
Frank accomplishes many of his efforts due to his great communication skills. Frank can always be reached at a time of importance as he always puts others first. Moreover, Frank is a very easy-going person. He is very forthcoming when it comes to receiving any kind of new information, news or issues and uses feedback to amend his actions accordingly, without hesitation or issue.
In summary, I highly recommend Frank for this tutoring position. He has proven time and time again to be an effective listener, communicator, problem-solver, and teacher. He encourages people to always strive to do their best and is more than willing to commit any resources he can in aid of this. Due to this, I believe Frank has demonstrated his excellent tutoring abilities throughout our time together and will continue to do so in this role.
I was Frank’s supervisor in the last year of his undergraduate studies in Psychological and Behavioural Sciences at the University of Cambridge. Frank conducted a very ambitious research project and wrote his dissertation under my supervision.
Based on our work together, I can say that Frank has a lot of qualities needed to be a good tutor. Frank has great communication skills, both verbal and written. He is able to present information in an interesting and innovative way, and he is able to explain difficult concepts in a clear manner. I am certain that he will be able to prepare interesting and engaging teaching sessions for his tutees. Frank is also a patient, polite and warm person, and he is able to work well under stress. I predict that he will form good relationships with his students, and he will be able to deal with various challenging situations and behaviours. Finally, Franks is very enthusiastic about psychology as a field and demonstrates a good knowledge of its different branches. I am certain that his tutees will find lessons with him extremely useful. In short, I strongly recommend Frank for this position.
