My name is Rosario Rospo and I have just graduated from University of Bristol with First Class Honours in Italian & Russian (and Czech). Language learning has always been a huge passion of mine and is something that I would love to pass onto my tutees, whether it be in Italian (up to A-Level), Russian (up to A-Level) or French (up to GCSE). My lessons will focus on developing the student’s knowledge of grammar, key topic vocabulary as well as enhancing their skills in reading, writing, listening and speaking. However, ultimately, the lessons will be based on the student’s needs and developing those skills that will not only help them pass their exams with flying colours, but also use the respective language in an everyday context.
My lessons will be carried out in a mixture of both English and the foreign language. Obviously, for beginners the majority will be in English, whereas lessons for KS5 students will, for the most part, be carried out in the target language for purposes of immersion. However, when it comes down to grammar explanations, I will more often than not opt for English in order to ensure that the student fully understands the given topic.

Volunteer Tutor, Coronavirus Tutoring Initiative (Remote)
(February 2021 – March 2021)
Achievements and responsibilities:
● Taught French to one student in Key Stage 3 (Year 9) twice a week
● Tutored via the online platform, Bramble
● Prepared a variety of resources for each lesson using software such as Microsoft PowerPoint
● Learning how to manage my time and balance this commitment with my final year studies
● Thanks to my help, the student improved from a Grade 7 (A grade) to a Grade 9 (high A* grade) in his most
recent writing assessment
