 My Bio

I love History. For me, History is about looking at the past with a unique lens in order to uncover patterns in the present, which is fascinating. I achieved an A in GCSE History, a 7 in IB History HL and a 70 in Narrative World of the Hebrew Bible at degree level, which involves looking at Biblical History as well as ancient mythology and archaeology.

In our lessons, we will work through your concerns, whether it be exam technique, challenging areas of history or wanting to be stretched and challenged. Having been a tutor for 5 years, it is important based on my experience that every session is designed to fit student’s needs. As part of this, I am to make learning fun but also practical, incorporating exam practice and weekly progress reviews to make sure that we remain on track for your goals.

Hello! My name is Chimdi Okpalauko and I recently graduated from the University of Oxford, having studied Theology and Religion. I have 5 years experience of tutoring, teaching and working with young people .

I am very excited to be tutoring with Cambridge Online Tutors. I have a wealth of experience teaching/mentoring with charities such as CTI and organisations such as the University of Oxford's Admissions and Outreach department, Target Oxbridge, Explore Learning and Elite IB.

In my spare time, I take part in a lot of the access initiatives affiliated with Oxford admissions, particularly those for BAME students and students of low socio-economic backgrounds. I also compete in athletics nationally, and I am Number 7 All-Time Oxford University Athlete in Shot put and discus at current.
