 My Bio

Religious Studies for me, is an extremely interesting subject. I developed an interest in the powerful interplay between religion and culture through my grandfather’s stories of the ongoing conflict in my country of origin, Nigeria. For this reason, I believe in order to understand people, it is also important to appreciate their relationship with God and the impact of this on societies. I achieved an A* in GCSE RS and a high 2.1 at undergraduate level at Oxford.

In our lessons, we will work through your concerns whether it be exam technique, challenging areas of RS or wanting to be stretched and challenged. Having been a tutor for 5 years, it is important based on my experience that every session is designed to fit student’s needs. As part of this, I am to make learning fun but also practical, incorporating exam practice and weekly progress reviews to make sure that we remain on track for your goals.

Hello! My name is Chimdi Okpalauko and I recently graduated from the University of Oxford, having studied Theology and Religion. I have 5 years experience of tutoring, teaching and working with young people .

I am very excited to be tutoring with Cambridge Online Tutors. I have a wealth of experience teaching/mentoring with charities such as CTI and organisations such as the University of Oxford's Admissions and Outreach department, Target Oxbridge, Explore Learning and Elite IB.

In my spare time, I take part in a lot of the access initiatives affiliated with Oxford admissions, particularly those for BAME students and students of low socio-economic backgrounds. I also compete in athletics nationally, and I am Number 7 All-Time Oxford University Athlete in Shot put and discus at current.
