 My Bio

 My Experience:

While completing A-levels, I tutored GCSE students at my school for a year. During this time, I tailored my teaching style to each student using the VARK method. This consisted of using a combination of visuals, audio, reading/writing and kinesthetics to teach academic content. I found this style of teaching allowed the students to keep their focus on learning for longer and improve productivity. Also, I asked students to answer questions at end of sessions to test their knowledge and to know which areas required more focus. I paired this with active recall, e.g. flashcards and asking more question from previous topics to solidify their prior knowledge. While tutoring, I always remained patient and reassured the students.

During my first year of Medicine, I assisted the head of anatomy to run an educational day for A level students. This consisted of teaching students the anatomy of the liver and heart, explaining how to read X-rays and teaching the bones making up the human skeleton.
