 My Experience:

I have experience as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Toronto where I effectively communicated complex concepts to a cohort of over 40 engineering undergraduates. I have a solid understanding of Python programming, algorithms, and abstract data structures – skills that are invaluable for helping students excel in their studies. Furthermore, my involvement as a Senior Lab Assistant at the Rotman School of Management equipped me with excellent organizational skills and the ability to lead professional development sessions, ensuring that I can support students' academic growth effectively. I’ve also acted as a freelance tutor employed at the local public library, and have taught students at the AP/IB level in various natural science and biomedical subjects.

 

 My Qualifications:

Hi there! My name is Justin and I joined the University of Oxford in 2023 as a DPhil candidate in biomedical data science. My research aims to leverage artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to decipher clinical data and to enhance healthcare. Specifically, my doctoral work focuses on developing, deploying, and evaluating AI/ML tools to help hospitals manage patient demand. I was trained as a biomedical engineer and hold a BASc in Engineering Science from the University of Toronto.
