I have several months tutoring experience with local children that I tutor in person. My tutoring sessions are highly collaborative, and while I am mainly focused on helping tutees achieve their desired grades, I am also keen to help them develop their general study and communication skills which will help them in whatever ventures or professions they choose to pursue moving forward. To this end, I spend time working with them to identify how they learn best and then teaching them to effectively communicate their knowledge to others (in this case, examiners). Where content is concerned, I assist the tutee in identifying areas to work on, focusing on topics they find more challenging. We then focus on these while still reviewing and testing areas that they are more confident in.
