 Lesson Details

This Maths lesson is designed to support students from early primary levels up to Key Stage 4, with a focus on building confidence, understanding, and problem-solving skills at each stage. For younger learners (Key Stages 1-2), lessons cover the foundations of mathematics, including basic arithmetic, shapes, measurements, and number sense. Through interactive activities, games, and visual aids, students build a solid grasp of these essential skills in a fun and engaging way.

For students in Key Stages 3-4, lessons delve into more advanced topics, such as algebra, geometry, trigonometry, probability, and statistics. Each session is designed to make challenging concepts accessible, with clear explanations, practice problems, and strategies for tackling exam-style questions. Whether working on class assignments, reinforcing difficult concepts, or preparing for GCSE exams, each lesson is customized to the student’s unique learning style and goals. I am happy to cover all exam boards for GCSEs, including Foundation and Higher levels.

My approach ensures that students not only improve their mathematical knowledge but also develop confidence and strategies for independent problem-solving that will benefit them in all areas of study.

 My Experience:

I bring over three years of tutoring and mentorship experience, having supported both university students and younger learners. At Kingston University, I served as an Academic Peer Mentor, guiding over 100 first-year students in biochemistry by creating tailored study resources and delivering engaging presentations and interactive quizzes. As a careers coach, I helped students refine their CVs, cover letters, and prepare for employment. During the COVID-19 lockdown, I independently tutored children aged 7-12, covering subjects such as English, Greek, Maths, and Science with customized, interactive lessons to suit diverse learning needs. I am skilled at simplifying complex scientific concepts and adapting my approach to various learning styles.

 My Qualifications:

I am a final-year Biomedical Science student at Kingston University, on track to graduate with a first-class honours degree. I have an extensive academic background with specialized knowledge in infection, immunity, molecular biology, and medical physiology. Notably, I was awarded the 2024 Undergraduate of the Year Award by the Microbiology Society, recognizing my academic excellence. I have also achieved top grades (A*/A) in A-level subjects, including Maths, Chemistry, Biology, and Greek, as well as high academic achievements in 12 GCSE subjects.
