 Lesson Details

Hello! As a recent Oxford graduate (BA Experimental Psychology) and a dedicated and skilled tutor, I specialize in preparing students for the rigour of university admissions, particularly for Oxbridge candidates. My expertise spans three crucial areas: 1) guiding students through preparation for the Thinking Skills Assessment (TSA) admissions test, 2) refining their Personal Statements, and 3) offering insightful advice on the interview process (as well as the potential for providing interview practice).

For the TSA, I bring a strategic approach, ensuring students are well-prepared for the critical thinking challenges presented by this Oxbridge admissions test. I am also enthusiastic about crafting personal statements tailored to students’ chosen courses, enhancing their applications. Beyond that, I provide insights, tips and practice for the interview process, empowering students to navigate these pivotal steps with confidence.

Choosing me as a tutor guarantees a comprehensive and supportive approach, addressing the key elements of the admissions journey and equipping students with the skills and confidence needed to give them the best chance of securing their place in their desired university course.

Courses that require the TSA:
Oxford: Experimental Psychology; Geography; Human Sciences; Philosophy and Linguistics; Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE); Psychology and Linguistics; Psychology and Philosophy.
Cambridge: Computer Science; Economics; Engineering; Human, Social, and Political Sciences; Land Economy; Natural Sciences.

My Subjects

 My Experience:

I have graduated with a degree from the University of Oxford for which I had to demonstrate a high level of academic diligence as well as develop my organisation and communication skills.
I have experience working with a range of children and young people as a teacher, tutor, childcarer, and currently an Assistant Educational Psychologist working with children with specific learning difficulties - all of this shows that I enjoy working in professions where I can help young people to be happy and to achieve their potential. As a tutor, therefore, I am keen to create a space where students feel comfortable and will receive the kind of educational support that is right for them!

Tutoring subjects:
Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics): KS 1, 2, 3 & 4
Maths: KS 1, 2, 3 & 4
