During my time as a student preparing for A Levels, I volunteered as a Maths tutor for younger students in Year 9 and Year 10, helping to correct and solidify their understanding of the subject material. I was able to provide students with helpful frameworks for understanding, memorising and revising topics they had to cover.

Through this experience, and many other opportunities I've had to help people prepare for exams or to understand academic content, I've developed a robust yet ever-evolving methodology for how to teach well. I think that a strong understanding of a student's knowledge and understanding is necessary to teach them, and help them to learn how to learn on their own as well. Toward this end, I like to take an empathetic approach, asking questions to gain an awareness of what they know and how they learn, and adapting my teaching style based on the student. This helps me to know what information I need to give each student to help them excel in their studies.

I love to help others understand things and share my knowledge, as I get to deepen my own understanding in the process. Teaching others is always a fun experience for me!

I am presently pursuing a BSc degree in Computer Science at the University of Southampton, and on track to finish with a First class. In my A Levels I achieved an A* in Maths, Computer Science and Chemistry, and I achieved an A in Further Maths. In my GCSEs I achieved a 9 in Maths, Chemistry, Physics and Biology, and I achieved an 8 in Further Maths.
