 Lesson Details

I hold a first-class LLB from Aston University and currently teach A2 Law to a seminar group, so I know the specification and the mark schemes from the inside. Law at A-level rises or falls on one skill: applying the right authority to the facts in front of you. Lessons train exactly that — spotting the issue, stating the rule with the case or statute that supports it, applying it precisely to the scenario, and reaching a reasoned conclusion. We cover the substantive content you need across contract, tort, criminal law and the English legal system, with a working bank of key cases you can actually recall under pressure, and we practise problem questions and evaluation essays to time. I also help students who are considering law at university think about what the subject looks like beyond A-level. Sessions suit both students starting the course and those aiming to convert a C into an A.

 My Experience:

I am a history and law tutor with a first-class LLB from Aston University and a Distinction in MSc Empires, Colonialism and Globalisation from the LSE, and I am currently completing my PGCE at the University of Cambridge. I have tutored A-level and GCSE History, A-level Law, Sociology and Economics, working with students both one-to-one and in small seminar groups. My teaching focuses on building the analytical and essay-writing skills that examiners actually reward, structuring an argument, using evidence precisely, and knowing what each mark scheme is looking for. I enjoy making demanding material feel manageable, and I tailor each session to where a student is and where they need to be by exam day.

 My Qualifications:

LLB (Hons Law) - First Class - Aston University
Empires Colonialism and Globalisation - Distinction - London School of Economics
PGCE Secondary (History) - Cambridge University
